I came across Hillmacurtis.com years ago when the web was just starting to take shape, there was no crazy ass Nike.com or flash driven automotive showcases…people were experimenting (we will talk about this one in the future). There was really no video besides porn because the damn internet pipes were all skinnyband and Flash was only being used to make fancy animated vector buttons. But MrCurtis started flipping it, dropping image sequences into the timeline, sprinkling vector overlays and short music loops (check his flash motion archive for a taste). I was blown away…this was the beginning. Fastforward 10years and Mr Curtis is developing short films for the web.
